Meet The Facilitators

Royce Gomez

Royce has been a leader and an entrepreneur since high school selling candy and running a paper route. After graduating with a Fashion Merchandising degree, she spent almost 5 years with a career in retail management. Then after starting a family, Royce excelled in sales, specializing in cosmetics, nutrition, and image consulting. Royce also built a network marketing organization being recognized many times for leadership. After moving to Colorado, Royce and her husband looked into starting a business in hot tub sales; but, landed in the property management business instead. Managing nearly 30 properties was a test in time management and interpersonal skills. Along with running the business, Royce actively led a homeschool group for 6 years while organizing and teaching classes for up to 70 students. In addition, she was a 4-H leader for the Horse project. Royce has worked full-time with horses (and humans) since 2002, logging over 100 hours of continuing education since her training with the EAGALA organization in 2006.

Mac

Mac is a 20 year old Tennessee Walking Horse. He has been with Pillar Ranch since the beginning and the oldest and most experienced horse. He came to Pillar Ranch after years of trail riding to be a school horse. Although he still helps to teach people to ride, he has since been doing therapeutic sessions among the other programs at Pillar Ranch. He is a great beginner horse.

Ruby

Ruby is a 6 year old Mustang that was adopted from the BLM. She has made a lot of progress from an untouched mustang to a great trail riding and therapeutic horse. She is pictured here with Royce Gomez.
